New ATEX certificate for air & gas heating elements

Following the constant improvement as the main objective of our company,Resistencias Tope, S.A. an Industrial electrical heater manufacturer with more than 65 years of experience, has recently expanded the range of ATEX certificates.
To our range of ATEX products, RA, the type of RB resistors has been added. These new heaters are designed and manufacturs for gas and air heating porcesses in hazardous areas. With this certificate Resistencia Tope, S.A. manages to expand the ATEX range of electrical resistances for the chemical, petroleum, food, and many other insdustrial sectors and it provides a new solution for those industrial processes where it is necessary to apply heat in areas in potentially explosive atmospheres.
All equipment used in potentially explosive atmospheres must comply with Directive 2014/34 / EU (on the harmonization of the laws of the Member States in the field of equipment and protection systems for use in potentially explosive atmospheres).
Therefore, in areas where the atmosphere is potentially explosive, heating units with explosion-proof junction boxes with and effective explosion protection must be installed. These classified areas can be areaas of work, handling and storage areas of food , chemical, petrochemical or pharmaceutical industries, etc.
A hazardous area is considered to be a place with gases, vapors or mists in sufficient quantity to produce explosive or flammable atmospheres and our certificate covers the ambient temperature from -60C to + 60ºC.
